About the Role
We are looking for a Tools Programmer to implement creative solutions to bring key systems to life. The Tools Programmer will be working in a close-knit, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate should be able to comfortably interface between Unreal Engine and a variety of common game tools in a mixture of C++ and C#.
Responsibilities:
Partner with team leads to execute on tooling and pipeline improvements.
Collaborate with designers and other engineers to find areas where tooling can assist their workflow.
Implement studio-wide end-to-end pipeline tooling in C#.
Design and implement effective workflows for authoring interactive narrative content in Unreal Engine.
Write clear, maintainable, and scalable code.
Research, define, extend, and maintain production pipelines, processes, and workflows.
Required Experience:
Excellent knowledge of modern C++ and C#
Generalist knowledge in many aspects of video game development with solid code architecture skills.
Positive and self-driven attitude with the ability to participate in a collaborative environment.
Self-motivated, capable of working in a remote environment.
Contributed significant code to at least 1 shipped title.
Preferable Experience:
B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Shipped titles in the Unreal Engine.
Experience working on current or last gen game consoles.
Knowledge / experience video codecs and real-time playback / buffering
Experience with at least one major UI toolkit: WinUI, WPF, SwiftUI, AppKit, WinForms, Jetpack Compose, Android Views, Qt, or similar.
Experience implementing in-game UIs.
Experience working with Perforce API’s
Experience working with build systems
Experience working in interactive narrative.
Experience with interactive script tools.
Experience with AWS or other cloud providers.
Worked on gameplay systems for a shipped title.
A passion for better representation in games and game development.
Able to align with team and project goals, but isn’t hesitant to prove out solutions of their own.
Salary Range: $81,000-$120,000
